Individual therapy
You have been managing alone for long enough.
You are good at holding it together. At showing up, figuring it out, being the person everyone else leans on. What you have never quite had is a space that is entirely yours. Where what you are carrying gets to be the only thing in the session.

A space that is entirely yours.
Individual therapy is a structured, one-on-one process where you work with a registered mental health professional to understand what is happening for you, why it is happening and what you can begin to do with it.
It is not advice-giving. It is not being told what to do. It is a collaborative process where your history, your patterns, your strengths and your goals all become part of the work. The person who has been managing everything alone finally gets to put it somewhere.
For individuals from BIPOC and immigrant communities, this is also a space where your cultural context, your history of navigating multiple worlds and the particular weight of being the one who made it are not obstacles to the work. They are the starting point.
Sessions are available in person in Calgary and virtually across Alberta and Nova Scotia.
What we work on
You do not need a diagnosis or a crisis to begin.
These are some of the things people bring into the session. If yours is not here but something still resonates, reach out anyway.
Caregiver burnout
For the person who has been giving everything to everyone and has quietly run out of anything left for themselves. This is not weakness. It is what happens when a person has been last on their own list for too long.
Trauma and PTSD
Processing difficult experiences that are still showing up in the present using approaches including EMDR, CPT and trauma-focused CBT. At a pace that is yours.
Anxiety and overwhelm
Understanding what is driving it and building practical tools that actually work when things feel out of control. Not just coping. Working with the root.
Depression and low mood
For the person who is still functioning on the outside but has gone very quiet on the inside. You do not have to explain why. You just have to show up.
Grief and loss
Loss takes many forms. The death of someone you love, the end of a relationship, a life that did not go the way you planned. All of it is worth bringing into the session.
Chronic pain and illness
The emotional weight of living with a health condition deserves its own space. The identity shifts, the grief, the daily management. This is where that can live.
Life transitions
Immigration, career change, new parenthood, loss of identity. Major change is disorienting even when it is chosen. Especially when it is chosen.
Cultural identity and systemic stress
For the person navigating the particular exhaustion of existing in spaces not built for them. The weight of being the first, the only, or the one who made it.
Compassion fatigue
For helping professionals, healthcare workers, social workers and teachers who have spent their careers absorbing other people's pain and have nowhere to put their own.
